Nor that full time AWD was on the menu.

So rare though. I learned about it when I saw one in a junkyard, have wanted one ever since.

My cousin had one of these in western Pennsylvania. Loved it. I think it was a 400/727 and got about 3-5 mpg.

*4WD. There was no means for shuffling power fore/aft, and I think it had a 2-speed transfer case.

Old timey simple *AWD* a la Range Rover. Note the ad copy’s reference to an “inter axle differential”.

Between being the only Plymouth SUV, having AWD, being *completely* topless (if a ‘74, it doesn’t even keep on the B-pillars and the doors are frameless), yeah, I can’t say I disapprove of your choice of leprechauns to chase down.

That is horrible

I’m sure I’ll have to settle for a Ramcharger. If I came across that one today, I’d buy it almost regardless of condition. Damn high-school finances and space.

I tried search tempest, got a promising ebay result but it’s blocked at work. I’m just amazed that I even stumbled across 1.

Could only get 4wd in 74 and standard equipment only included a drivers seat. Passenger seat and rear bench were optional. Also could get it with a 318, 360, 400, 440 v8s (slant 6 was available too). Only problem is the 440 made 280hp at its peak and 255hp later in the 70s... Sad considering 4 years earlier the 6pack was making a very under rated at 390hp, was truly closer to 430hp with 510 torque

I just remembered I live in California so I think I’m obligated to have one of these or a Blazer or something with a removable hardtop.

trail duster? wasnt it? and i think that the full time 4wd was the np203 that chevy had too, those started going away around 76 or 77? dodge though, had the divorced np205 in some of its trucks in the early 70's. oh the possibilities of what you can put ahead of it. one of the guys in town has a fixation on ramchargers. quite capable junk.

I’m required to be simultaneously angry at you and cheering.
